You may have seen the small flash-ads around the net advertising Harley-Davidson’s new line of “Dark Custom” bikes. I don’t own a motorcycle, nor am I in the market for one. But, if a flash ad offers me free stickers “no questions asked”, I’m going to throw my address in there and click submit. I personally came across this ad on the gaming forum/news site X360A.com. I’m not sure how many hardcore XBox 360 gamers ride Harleys, but the cute pin-up chick headlining the flash ad must have gotten more than a few hits.
I’d forgotten completely about this promo a good deal of time later. Until, during one unsuspecting trip to the post office, after what must have been 4-6 weeks later, I pulled out the coolest envelope I had ever seen.
This begs the question, why can’t more junk mail come packaged in something more aesthetically stimulating?
